More than a professional calling, being a surgeon is a family tradition. His father, Jose, emigrated from Bolivia in 1950 and practiced general surgery for nearly 50 years.  As a role model, he instilled in his son not just the critical importance of being a meticulous surgeon through mastery of technique, but also the necessity of taking impeccable care of his patients.  Guided by this legacy, Dr. Perez recognizes that it is the fundamental well-being of his patients that is the primary inspiration for his calling.

Now with the Lovelace Medical Group, Dr. Perez combines these state of the art techniques with nationally recognized standards of care.
