Amy Bower, MS, PA-C, is a physician assistant with vast experience working in general surgery offering care to patients pre and post-operatively during their hospital stay, assisting in the operating room and seeing patients in the outpatient clinic setting.
Amy graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in mathematics. She went on to obtain her Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant Practice from the University of Saint Frances in Albuquerque, NM.
Amy is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants the New Mexico Academy of Physician Assistants and a the American Association of Surgical Physicians Assistants.

Amy has been a surgical PA for myself and my family on two very serious diagnosis. First was when I was admitted emergently for a not so clear case of cholecystitis, actually turned to sepsis and ultimately had my gallbladder removed successfully. Amy has the kindest and clearest bedside manner and i worked with surgeons for 34 years. So I know poor bedside manners. She was clear on what would take place and what i was to expect. The second time she came to our aid was with my daughter who had a stone stuck in her bile duct and has to have that removed prior to surgery taking place. Once again she was able to calm my daughter’s fears before having surgery. We truly appreciate her professionalism and care she has taken with us. I’d give her 10 stars if I could!!
