Reviews for Andrew Grollman, M.D.

Lovelace schedule dept said to be at women's health hospital at noon for pre op & for surgery at 1:00 pm on 4-4-23. The hospital called a little after 11 am on 4-4-23 wondering where I was for my 11:00 pre op appointment & surgery at noon. I was in the shower thinking I had plenty of time! I arrived at women's health at 11:30! and was done about 1:45. Same scheuling mishap with my wife's appointment today 4-5-23 for a endocrinologist. Scheduler told her appointment was at 2:50pm today. At about 11:00 am she got a text telling her appointment was at 3:20! Go figure??

I was seen on time. I didn’t wait long to see Dr. Grollman. He listened, asked good questions, and outlined next steps in a treatment plan.

I had a prostatectomy in January. Unfortunately a complication from the surgery developed. In the ensuing time frame it took to resolve the complication Dr Grollman was nothing short of outstanding in my treatment and care. Hospital says were involved and Dr Grollman was there every morning to check on me and my progress. I do not understand the bad reviews for Dr Grollman. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing a urologist.

I have had 3 appointments with Dr Grollman and one of those was a prostate biopsy. He told me what to expect and it went exactly as he said and was not nearly as bad as I had expected. Excellent Provider

My visit with Dr. Grollman was a follow-up apt. The entire staff were courteous and professional and Dr. Grollman was caring and anxious to see how I was doing. I will continue to have him as my Urologist!

Dr got us in quickly when husband was in ER with cath - he was so very kind and understanding. Can't take us for a month - lots of patients but appreciated all his help in learning to care for cath too. He was great.

Dr. Grollman has been excellent in seeing me through a difficult time to have a prostate problem (during pandemic), and he has been nothing but the picture of a caring physician. He did a partial prostate removal last April, which was successful, and my recovery was totally smooth. Highly recommended.

Dr. Grollman provided exceptional service. He identified an existing problem and was to conduct surgery in two days to resolve a Kidney Stone that had grown to 11 mm and one mont prior another DR. had unsuccessfully attempted to remove the stone 30 days prior to Dr. Grollman's removal of the stone. The recovery has been quick with no issues.

Dr. Grollman was to the point and understood my situation. He also apologized for such a short encounter with me but there was nothing else to say. Made my return appointment on the way out and were all set. Maybe 5 minutes, short and to the point that's the way I like it.

I have been a patient of Dr. Grollman of and on over the past 15 years and have always found him to be professional and very helpful with his treatment recommendations. He always looks for a treatment that will be permanent if at all possible.

Absolutely I would recommend Dr. Grollman. In fact, while in the hospital for an unrelated matter I overheard several nurses saying they had a procedure by Dr Grollman and were very pleased. That solidified it for me, my own procedure done by him only a week later went very well.

I was impressed by Dr. Grollman. He gathered difficult information regarding my mental status very calmly, directly, and efficiently. And he appeared to understand and interpret my communications regarding my orientation impressively/quickly. I met him for the first time at the hospital prior to emergency surgery on my right kidney. He's tall and has an imposing manner; however, when he speaks, he, also, emanates care, respect, and understanding better than most doctors I've seen. He discussed the procedure I was facing very completely and calmly. He, also, lowered himself to my level where I sat on a wheelchair and was matter-of-fact about my condition. I never felt threatened or frightened, because he's obviously intelligent and I had to trust he was skilled due to his thoroughness of expression. Two days later, I saw him, again, in my hospital room. He and an assistant came in to do a 'flush', because my Folley catheter had become disengaged and I was passing blood in my urine. He had already assured the attending physician and the nurses that the blood color (a dark red wine) being discharged was normal for my kind of procedure so long as it didn't exceed 3-days. He, now, relieved me that I didn't have to wear the Folley on discharge the next day. Because of how he dealt with my kidney, bladder and UTI, I can't think of giving him less than even an A+. He's an excellent doctor/specialist!

My husband was sent to dr grollman from the lovelace hospital westside. The doctor and his assistant worked him into the schedule. The nurse inserted a cather on the first try after the hospital tried to do it multiple times with no success. Dr grollman explained the problem and scheduled necessary tests and a follow up appointment. We found him to be very accomodating and concise in his diagnosis. We would reccomend him.
