Thorough within the scope of his duties. Not a good patient advocate with other specialists.

Jerome Baca is one of my favorites of all time and I'm 64, that's a long time! He always takes as much time as needed to listen to all of my questions and concerns, explains everything carefully and to my satisfaction and is incredibly knowledgeable and through! I am very grateful to have him as my provider and would Highly Recommend!

I met with Jerome Baca following surgery in March. We discussed my next options for my situation. He was very clear and concise in the options available to me. He covered all my concerns and thoughtfully listened! I am scheduled for my next surgery in 2 weeks! I look forward to seeing him in the OR!

Lovelace CEO Michael Kueker sent me an email asking for an online review. I feel this is a mistake, certainly the executive office must have some idea that Lovelace in Albuquerque is generally pretty bad. The good news is that although Lovelace has lots of turnover of staff and physicians, Physician Assistant Baca has been there for quite a few years. Unfortunately, all the doctors, PA's and NP's at Lovelace seem to be pushed to keep increasing their volume of work, which shows in the decreasing quality of patient interactions. Recently he reprimanded me for something I had no control over. He also told me to start doing something he had previously told me to take a break from. When I told him I stopped because he told me to, he became short. Twice I have had to call my insurance company because PA Baca's office said they were waiting on a pre-authorization, and in both cases they were incorrect and it was their mistake. My pharmacy has spent a lot of time recently trying to get an error they made fixed, but the Lovelace Urology department is not able to respond in a timely manner. I am currently on a waiting list to get my primary care changed away from Lovelace. Once that is done I will get my urology changed also. In the meantime, I am going to start seeing someone else in the Lovelace urology department.

I always have a good experience, but my last visit was really bad because the clerk never put me in my appointment and one hour waiting for it they said that the Dr. left to lunch and He never was told that I was there the I have to comeback 2 hours later to have my doctor's appointment.
