Melissa Scott is a Certified Nurse Midwife providing women’s health care, pregnancy, postpartum, well baby care and family planning. She was raised here in Albuquerque and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Masters of Science from the University of New Mexico. Melissa earned her minor in Spanish with her nursing degree and is working towards becoming fluent. When not working, Melissa enjoys being active in the community with her two children and also loves getting outdoors in the beautiful spaces that New Mexico as to offer.

This was my first appointment at Lovelace Women's Hospital. I went to Melissa for a pap smear and a well-check. As soon as Melissa entered the office she was exceptional. One thing I really appreciated was that she explained and described what she would be doing throughout the appointment. I felt like I knew what to expect and she was very respectful and informative. I let her know that being a mid-wife was definitely her calling because she made me feel heard, safe, and respected. I will not be going to any other OBGYN going forward.
