Richard Wilkerson, M.D., RPVI is a Cardiothoracic Surgeon board certified in Vascular Surgery and General Surgery. He went to medical school at the University of Alabama School of Medicine and completed his residency in General Surgery from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Dr. Wilkerson completed his fellowship in Vascular Surgery from the University of Maryland Medical Center.

Dr. Wilkerson is the greatest doctor in Albuquerque. He is attentive, caring, supportive. In January, he amputated my left leg after being abandoned by Presbyterian over insurance, watched by doctors at UNM, but not actively treating me. He ALWAYS had time for questions, fears, and emotional as well as physical well being going forward. I truly cannot say enough about how amazing he is nor how indebted I am to him.
