If you need an excellent Cardiologist that specializes in Electrophysiology, then I would suggest you try to see Dr. Sean Mazer, also President of the New Mexico Heart Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He started seeing me when I was in my 80s and his care and advice is largely due to my now being in my mid-nineties. He is a great listener and once he understands your problems and concerns, just listen to his advice and he will really keep you going. A real once in a lifetime Doctor.

Dr Mazur is a fantastic cardiologist! He performed an ablation on my heart, and then tweaked my meds to completely eliminate the high percentage of PVCs. He listens to all concerns and makes appropriate adjustments to your medical care.

New to the state, sought a local cardiologist for continuity of care. Pre-admission intake was thorough, pleasant and set the tone for the rest of the visit.Barely had time to sit down and take out a book before I saw the MA and went thru BP, pre-doc questions. My MA was thorough, knowledgeable and very friendly, again set the tone for the visit with Dr. Mazer. She went and retrieved my out-of-state medical records so he had a frame of reference for my visit. He reviewed the records in front of me so I felt he was asking questions that were specific to my personal health not just random patient questions. As a recently retired RN I know from personal experience many patients question if medical personnel know anything about them PERSONALLY, and why they even ask for medical records if they don't review them, so this is an important point in allowing the patient to feeling HEARD.I am very happy with Dr. Mazer and look forward to my next visit in 6 months.

Excellent. A very caring Doctor. Explains everything where you can understand. Lets you explain your concerns and listens to everything you need. I have not received this type of care in decades. You don't feel rushed when speaking with him. He treats you as person and not a number. Top of the line.
