Trent Proffitt, M.D. is a Cardiovascular Surgeon board certified in General Surgery and Vascular Surgery. He received his undergraduate degree from Southern Illinois University and went to medical school at the University of Illinois. His residency in General Surgery was completed at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. His Vascular Surgery fellowship was done at the University of Maryland and his Endovascular Surgery was completed at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.

This man brushed me off. Basically he did not believe my very rare situation. I suffered greatly from SMA syndrome for YEARS as well as nutcracker syndrome recently discovered. He said, "Go back to your doctors at UNM.
