About Christina Chaney, CNM, MSN
Christina Chaney is a Certified Nurse Midwife with a variety of nursing experience and extensive training in nurse midwifery.
Christina trained as a nurse midwife at Women’s Birth and Wellness center in Chapel Hill, N.C., Lovelace Women’s Hospital in Albuquerque, Indian Health Services in Gallup, and at Women’s Specialists of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Christina has worked as a Registered Nurse in the Women’s Unit at Christus St. Vincent regional Medical Center in Santa Fe and at Portland Adventist Medical Center in Portland, Ore. She also worked as a registered nurse in labor and delivery at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque.
Christina earned her bachelor’s and master’s degree in nursing with a nurse-midwifery specialty from the University of New Mexico. She completed a one year program in body work and holistic health at the Heartwood Institute of Healing Arts in Garberville, Calif.
Christina is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives. Over the past 15 years she has volunteered for a global humanitarian organization called Embracing the World, where she has been involved with a variety of activities such as massage therapy. In her free time, Christina enjoys hiking, dancing, yoga, and spending time with her husky- heeler mix dog.
