Dr. Simmon is originally from Downeast Maine. She attended college and graduate school in the state of Michigan. She earned her medical doctorate from St. James School of Medicine. She subsequently completed her training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Simmon is a member of ACOG and her professional interests include minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, high risk obstetrics and chronic pelvic pain. She enjoys hiking around New Mexico, birdwatching in the Valles Caldera National Preserve, and eating a lot of roasted green chile.

I love how she immediately comes in washes her hands and puts out her hand to shake it not just on meeting you but departing also. I also like that she makes eye contact with you and is generally concerned about your concerns. I did not feel rushed in any way. I highly recommend her.

I have been seeing Dr. Simmon’s for almost 3 years now and I absolutely love the care I receive from her. I suffered for many years with extreme weight loss, pelvic and abdominal pain . I saw countless doctors who could not figure out what was wrong with me and I even had a doctor physically knock on my head and tell me it was all in my head. They would not listen to me and disregarded everything I was going through . Then one day I met with a new doctor Jessie Simmon and she listened to everything I said and didn’t make me feel crazy. She took a chance on me as a patient and took my words and concerns very seriously. After years of pain and countless doctors she was able to finally figure out with me in a matter of a few months. Jessie Simmons is very caring and compassionate. She doesn’t make you feel like just another paycheck. I see her annually now and it’s like I just saw her yesterday because of her attention to detail and the relationships she builds with her patients I have told multiple women to go see her and I will definitely follow her wherever she works! Honestly if I could have her as a doctor for everything I would in a heartbeat!

Dr. Jessie Simmons is a valuable asset to the Lovelace practice. She genuinely loves her job and cares about her patients. She is easy to get a hold of and quick to respond to questions you may have. I feel lucky to have her as a physician.
