Tomy Perez, M.D. received his bachelors and medical degree from Columbia University in New York. He completed his residency in general surgery and urology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA and is a member of the American Urological Association. Dr. Perez treats a wide variety of urologic conditions using the latest technology available, from overactive bladder and erectile dysfunction to kidney stones and bladder cancer. He offers the full spectrum of medical and surgical options for prostate enlargement (BPH), including UroLift, Rezum, holmium laser enucleation (HoLEP), and robotic prostatectomy. Most of all, he strives to provide individualized and compassionate care to all of his patients.
Dr. Perez is fluent in Spanish. He loves watching films with his wife and photography. During his free time he also enjoys bouldering, snowboarding, and exploring the outdoors.
I met with Dr. Perez on a Monday to discuss HoLEP surgery to treat my BPH. He thoroughly explained the procedure, the desired outcome and the possible side effects. I felt fully informed by the time I agreed to the procedure. Dr. Perez was able to get me into surgery that Friday. The surgery was successful and I am now recuperating. Kudos to the entire staff at Lovelace, from pre-op through post-op for their professionalism and caring attitude.

It's almost impossible to get a call back, their staff doesn't show any interest on doing their job, have called numerous times to schedule surgery for the second time. First time their office failed to send orders, they sent orders for bloodwork on a Friday noon and surgery was the next Tuesday morning. Almost impossible to get them to call back to reschedule or to simply follow up. I sent a message through mychart on 07-31-2023 and according to the website they can take up to 48 hours to reply, I got a nonsense reply on 08-11-2023.
