About Barry D. Nagel, M.D., FACS
Barry D. Nagel, MD, FACS is a double board-certified otolaryngologist and facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon.
Dr. Nagel completed his undergraduate studies at Harpur College where he received his bachelor’s degree. He completed medical school at Tulane University School of Medicine and based on scholastic achievement was selected to the AOA Honor Medical Society. He completed his surgical internship and began the first year of his residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He finished his otolaryngology, ear, nose, and throat (ENT) residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Dr. Nagel is a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, a fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Nagel has been in private practice for a little over 30 years. He helped start the ENT residency at UNM. He also has prior experience at Lovelace Medical Center, as an attending Otolaryngologist. He served as the ENT Section Chief and on the Medical Executive Committee at the Lovelace Medical Center, formerly Albuquerque Regional Medical Center.
