About Sara Rogers, DNP, ACNP
Sara Rogers, DNP, ANP-BC, GNP-BC, AGACNP-BC is a dedicated nurse practitioner with over 12 years of clinical nursing experience and a passion for infectious disease. Sara received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida. She obtained her Master of Science in Nursing in Adult and Geriatrics and Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Alabama, Birmingham. Her doctoral project examined the appropriate utilization of urinalyses in the diagnosis of urinary tract infections in long term care patients as a modality for antimicrobial stewardship. In addition, she obtained a post-graduate adult and geriatric acute care certification through the University of Pennsylvania. She specializes in Adult, and Gerontology primary care, as well as Adult-Geriatric acute care.
Sara's professional experience includes practice in the post-acute setting, and as a nurse practitioner at the Southeastern Centers for Infectious Diseases. Her most recent position was as a hospitalist nurse practitioner.
She is a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America, Society for Hospital Epidemiology of America, and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
